Imperial Garden SF & Sassy Foods catered our all-vegan wedding, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Elaine, Menny, and their team truly went above and beyond. They made sure everything ran smoothly so we could focus on enjoying the day, which we're extremely grateful for! The food was SO GOOD - our guests couldn't stop raving about it, and everyone had different favorites, but a few standouts were the vegan xiao long bao, turnip cake, and fried glutinous dumplings (ham sui gok). Being from Hong Kong, it meant so much to me to be able to serve vegan dim sum to our family and friends, and show everyone that vegan food can be both authentic and delicious. Thank you, Elaine and Menny, for making our wedding day so special!

Continuing to search for the best Cantonese Dim Sum in the San Francisco Bay Area, I was fortunate to be invited to try Imperial Garden Seafood Restaurant for a lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I arrived at the restaurant around 11:00AM with hopes to get in before the lunch rush. But to my dismay, parking was very scarce! Be sure to get here early as I ended up needing to park 2-3 blocks away to find a space. Entering in, the restaurant was what you would expect from a Chinese Seafood restaurant in the Bay Area: Large high ceiling room with many large tables. And sitting down, the dining experience is exactly what you'd expect as well: Simply mark your items down on the paper menu given to you and waiters will bring the dim sum to your table. Reviewing every item on the menu would take a long time. But for the most part, each dish averaged around $5-6. In the San Francisco area, a dish could go for $7-8 dollars at the average restaurant. And for the portion of each item, the price was not bad by any means. I was able to try a variety of dishes. But out of the ones I tried, I enjoyed the beef rice rolls, beef tripe, beef balls, and fish porridge the best. Starting with the beef rice rolls, the rice noodle was soft and moist while the beef was spongy. Combined with the sweet marinade and the sweet soy sauce, the dish was rich with flavor. As for the tripe next, each piece was chewy and had a tame sweet sauce. Even though there wasn't a lot of sauce at the bottom, each piece was moist and delicious. The beef balls had a similar texture to the beef in the rice rolls. But with the addition of onions inside, the flavor leaned more savory. Nonetheless, it was warm and juicy. As for last, the fish porridge was simple and perfectly flavored. The rice and broth had the perfect amount of salt and the fish had just the right amount of moisture. In all, everything was delicious for the price. Standard for the San Francisco area, but great compared to many other cities. Although short and sweet, my experience at Imperial Garden was great! From the good tasting food to the price of each of the items, everything is just like I would expect and makes the experience a good four stars out of five. If anything, I'd suggest coming early for lunch. The parking lot is small and there is not much parking on the streets as you get closer to lunch time. This area can lean on the rough side as it gets closer to dark so be wary should you choose to come for dinner.

We love this place! Food is always delicious! They always have good specials. Today's special was lobster with noodles, the flavor was amazing. We also had our usual dim sum. As a treat, we got the steamed cake today, looked like a giant cupcake, very moist and soft, just the right sweetness.cant beat the price! We take our dad there almost every time we go into the city

Vegan review: Since the remodel, this place has truly improved! I ordered: Vegan XLB- yummy! I never get to have this otherwise so I'm happy I had the option. Vegan BBQ pork bun- pretty good! The meat pieces are quite big but overall it's yummy. Vegan chive dumpling- I was hesitant to order this but it was great! 10/10 Service was great and the ambiance is nice as well. I solo dined and it was a lovely experience. Thank you to the staff!
